Single British Metal Epaulet-This has a spine of steel, and on this is a scaled nickel design. This dates from 1820 through 1840 and would have been worn by a British officer. It measures approx. 7 inches in length. There is a silver half-moon at the lower portion of this board, and a bolt at the top which displays the Imperial crown. There is some slight verdigris on the crown, as well as on the edges of the metal scaling. If you ask me it looks like something that may have come out of the movie Judge Dredd, but you decide. A desirable early example.
