German WWII Swallow’s Nest Single Shoulder Epaulette for RAD- This epaulette was for an RAD Drums and fife Tambourmajor in a Spielmannzug and was worn on the shoulder during parades and concerts. (thank you to our good friend RF for this additional information). The red, black and silver color with the silver fringe is striking. This has silver bullion stripes on a tan light canvas backing. It is edged in a silver bullion tresse with silver bullion fringe. This board has hooks on the reverse that would be used to attach to the tunic. Overall, in excellent shape.
