German WWII Schuma Police Cap Insignia-This is an excellent example of an unissued BeVo insignia for an Auxiliary Police (Schuma) side cap. It shows the distinctive slanted swastika in the oval wreath in silver. This insignia was worn by police officers in the “Schutzmannschaft,” the collaborationist auxiliary police in the German occupied Soviet Union and Baltic states, which fell under SS control and which in some cases became part of the Waffen-SS. This patch is unissued and in excellent condition.
