German WWII 13th Waffen Mountain Division of the SS "Handschar" (Croatian Number 1) Collar Tab (13. Waffen-Gebirgs-Division der SS, Kroat. Nr.1)-Great example of this Divisional tab, with its distinctive scimitar-wielding hand and mobile swastika. Both are machine embroidered in silvery gray thread on the soft napped black wool/felt tab face. The buckram stiffener is the very tight weave, even surfaced type, lightly age browned and but does have a small hole in the center. (Please see photos). This was removed from a tunic. The silvery gray thread on the embroidered hand is loose, so again, please make certain to look closely at the photos. Overall, a desirable display piece!
