German WWII Set of Scat Cards-This is a deck of playing cars that show a decorative black cross hatch design on an off-white background. The deck itself is fairly small, measuring 3 3/4 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide. This deck is missing a few cards, including the Four and Queen of hearts, as well as the Ace, Jack and King of clubs The two other suits, diamonds and spades, are intact, including the original joker card. There are four extra cards that do not match, but we are tossing them in, since they are of the same vintage. These Spielkarten were popular during the war. The Red Cross distributed playing cards to soldiers in hospitals or in recreation centers. Families would also send a deck of playing cards out to soldiers. This deck is in good condition, despite missing a few cards.
