Pair of Military Snowshoes as Used by the 10th Mountain Division-These wooden snowshoes are very nicely marked and dated. They were produced in 1942 by the Lund Co in Hasting Minnesota, where they certainly know a lot about snow! 😉 The side of the snowshoes are well marked on the wooden frames. They measure approximately 12 ½ inches (31.75cm) wide by 21 inches (71.12cm) long. They are made of nicely toned wood and sinew. The leather straps are very fragile. The leather is very dry and crispy and may crack easily if not handled gently. They give this piece a nice vintage look but are not usable. Overall, these look great and are in good condition.
