Japanese WWII Cavalry Stirrups-These horse stirrups are nickel plated metal with small spurs and brown leather straps. The straps are very stiff but are in place. They have faded and really need good conditioning to bring them back to life. Overall, these are in very condition! The Japanese had quite a few cavalry units early in the war, they were used for reconnaissance and scouting mostly. By the later years of the war, some cavalry forces were converted into dismounted reconnaissance scouts due to the evolving nature of warfare, but traditional cavalry units were still in use, often equipped with Type 44 carbines and sabers. If these could talk, I’m sure they would tell some very cool stories!
