WWII US M-1 for Medic-This super desirable example was for a medic as it has a Red Cross hand painted onto the front of the shell. The remainder of the finish is 60% intact. It is a swivel bale, front seam lid produced by the Schlueter Manufacturing Co. (MUCH scarcer than the McCord shells). The heat stamp number is visible. The chin strap is OD 7 with a black painted steel buckle. The Westinghouse liner has a crack on one side. The finish is 70% intact. Interior components are OD 3. The neck strap is a size large. The interior of the liner has discoloration and light wear from use. The leather chinstrap has some minor wear but is fully intact. A scarce and desirable MEDIC lid!
