WWII German TeNo Police Combat Tunic for Anwarter, RARE-What a handsome and rarely encountered specimen! This is model 1940 type combat tunic with four scalloped and pleated pockets. It is made of a thick napped blue-green wool seen on both Police and TeNo uniforms. It has a set of black ribbed wool slip on boards. This, combined with the machine applied blank collar tabs, is for the rank of candidate (anwarter). The left sleeve has a beautifully machine applied BeVo police eagle in green. This, combined with a factory machine applied TeNo cuff title clearly identifies this as a rare TeNo tunic for the Schutz police (see pages 605-607 of Volume 2 of Uniforms, Organization & History of the German Police). Overall the condition of this size 42 blouse is near excellent with light soiling and some tracking in a few places including the back of the collar. There is one set of badge loops for an award. The interior has a partial green rayon lining. It has a single bandage pocket. There is a large TeNo insignia stamp along with the size 52. This one should have been in the book!
