WWII German Spanish Cross in Bronze w/Swords-This version of the award was given to combatants, as it has swords. It is beautifully tapered, to better fit on the breast pocket when it was worn. The bronze finish has toned just slightly, giving the badge a very handsome look. There is some extremely minor wear to the finish, no doubt from use. The basic cross is in the form of a Maltese cross with a swastika standing on its point in the center within two circles. A Luftwaffe eagle is in between each arm of the cross. The rear has a coke bottle shaped pin, vertically mounted with a block hinge. The catch is thick round wire and separately soldered to the badge. An excellent example of a scarce badge that is missing from many collections!
