WWII German Schutzpolizei NCO Service Tunic- This municipal police uniform is produced in blue green wool. There is some staining, minor wear, and other discoloration, but no holes. There is a small repair to the lower left sleeve, another one on the right shoulder, and lastly, one above the left breast pocket. There is an eight-button closure, and all buttons are silver finished pebbled metal. The breast pockets are pleated with scalloped flaps. The lower pockets are plain with scalloped flaps. The collar tabs are hand applied and have silver columns over green cloth. Each is piped in silver twist rope piping. This originally had sew-in boards, but a collector stitched loops in, so slip on boards could be used. The included boards are produced in green and white braided cloth with a single metal pip on each. These are postwar Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS) straps (thanks Dave C!). There is a small ribbon bar, which is through collector added loops. The sleeve eagle is hand applied, and machine embroidered in green cloth over light grey wool. A collector added a iron cross second class ribbon to the button. The interior is fully lined in greyish green cloth. There is some staining, wear, discoloration, and repairs are evident. There is a bandage pocket on the right side and hooks for a belt are included, although not correctly mounted. There are ink stamps to indicate the name of the manufacturer, the sizing (96), the date of manufacture (40), and that it is a police uniform (PO). It is a size medium. A sound example overall.
Please note that any "accessories" (i.e. medals, badges, belts etc.) are NOT included unless stated in description!
