WWII German Model 1942 Army Single Decal Helmet, GI Personalized (Norway)-This example was "Acquired by LT. Hubur Guernsey in Norway, 1945" according to the etching to the inside of the shell by the "D" ring for the chinstrap. Cool! It is named twice to "Brinkmann" (H.). The dark green combat finish remains 85% intact. The army eagle remains 70% intact. The interior features a size 57 liner that remains soft with some minor discoloration, scuffing and wear. There is a drawstring and a zinc liner band that is RBNr'd, dated 1942 and size stamped 57/64. The side of the interior is stamped NS 64 indicating production by Nickelwerke of Schwerte in the size of 64. The rear skirt is stamped with the steel lot number B 4623 indicating production some time in 1942. The dark brown leather chinstrap is maker marked and dated. A great, unique helmet!
