WWII German Model 1940 Luftwaffe Single Decal Combat Helmet, Named-This has a blue grey combat finish that remains 95% intact with some of the rough texture still intact. There are a few scuffs in the finish. The decal has only minor wear and remains 90% intact. The brown leather liner is very soft and supple. It is a large size 61 (huge!) and has a drawstring. There is very minor wear and discoloration from use. The zinc liner band is maker marked, dated 1940 and size stamped 68/61. The side of the interior is stamped Q 68 indicating production by Quist of Esslingen in the size 68. The rear skirt is stamped with the steel lot number 5555 (cool!). The owner wrote his name and rank in white ink on the skirt, "Obgfr. Pollok". The brown leather chinstrap is present. The end is broken off but included and can easily be glued in place. It is otherwise in fine condition. A great example!
