WWII German Model 1940 Army Single Decal Camouflage Helmet, Interesting Markings-This neat example features a red and green camouflage finish that remains 80% intact. The army decal checks in at a solid 80% as well. The interior features a brown leather liner that has minor wear and discoloration from use. It is embossed with the size, 66/59. There is a zinc liner band and a drawstring. The Interior is finished in satin black. Traces of the finish is found on the liner band (but not under it) and on the chinstrap bales. There is a name and numbers that the finish was painted around (over a green background). These are in white paint and read "Pankratz 1006" and "27". The side of the interior is stamped ET 64 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale in the size of 64. The rear skirt is stamped with the steel lot number of 511 indicating production some time in 1941. An interesting example!
