WWII German Model 1938 Paratrooper Single Decal Camouflage Helmet- This fantastic example has a chunky camouflage finish of dark green with tan blotches. The camouflage finish remains 90% intact, with the original base field grey finish visible underneath. The camouflage finish covers the slotted and vented spanner bolts, but not the decal which remains mostly intact. There is an aluminum liner band, light colored neoprene pads and a very clean brown leather liner. The liner is size stamped 55/66. This has the final pattern harness in light grey leather. A majority of the chamois under lining is still intact. The side of the interior is stamped ET 66, indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale in the size of 66. The rear skirt is stamped with the steel lot number 1872, indicating production in 1942. Excellent and desirable!
