WWII German Model 1938 Luftwaffe Camouflage (FJR 6) Paratrooper Helmet-We recently purchased this one from a well-known collector in Switzerland. It has the distinctive Fallschirmjäger Regiment 6 camouflage scheme of green and tan with the rough texture from sawdust being added as well. The finish checks in at 85% intact. You can clearly see the Luftwaffe eagle decal under the finish on the left side. The brown leather, size stamped 60 liner is soft, with some discoloration, scuffing and wear from use. There is an aluminum liner band. The charcoal insert pads are all present. The harness is the standard war time type, remaining soft and even retaining some of the chamois underlining. The side of the interior is stamped ET 71 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale in the size of 71. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 450 (production in 1941). There are initials in the rear skirt as well. An excellent example of a very desirable helmet!
