WWII German Luftwaffe Flight/Paratrooper NCO Four Pocket Service Tunic-This is a super clean example! The blue grey wool is in fantastic condition, having only the slightest hint of discoloration. It has clearly been shortened as witnessed by the short waist pockets and hem. This was most definitely done during the period. There is a four button closure and all buttons are silver finished pebbled metal. There are four pleated pockets with straight flaps. The collar has a pair of machine applied, yellow badge cloth tabs, each with a pair of silver finished metal gulls. There is a silver NCO tresse at the front and lower edge of the collar. The sew in shoulder boards are produced in blue grey badge cloth. Each has a silver NCO tresse around the entire perimeter with yellow piping. This is for an unterfeldwebel (sergeant) of flight or paratroops. The machine embroidered breast eagle has been neatly REAPPLIED. It is silvery grey cloth over blue grey wool. There are loops for a single award on the left breast pocket. The lower left sleeve has a career patch for a flight armorer NCO. There is a ribbon for the Russian Front medal in the first button hole. The interior is fully lined in grey cloth. It remains very clean! There is a single pocket on the left side. There is a bright red paper tag inside the pocket which simply has the number 80190. There are two belt hooks. The left side, above the pocket, has ink stamped info to include maker, issue and sizing. The size is 88, small, and the issue info reads "LBA 39". An excellent example!
