WWII German Army Model 1940 Camouflage Helmet-This helmet features an interesting camouflage finish of brown over the original dark green hue. The finish remains 80% intact overall. Glimpses of the army decal are visible underneath the camo finish. The brown leather liner remains in good overall condition. It is very soft, with some minor wear and discoloration from use. There is minor scuffing around the lower edge and at the front. There is a drawstring and a zinc liner band. The side of the interior is stamped NS 66 indicating production by Nickelwerke of Schwerte in the size of 66. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number DN 63. the initials "FS" is scratched into the side of the interior finish. The dark brown leather chinstrap has shrunk a bit but is in fine condition otherwise. It is maker marked and dated. Very good condition overall!
