WWII German Army Model 1940 Camouflage Combat Helmet-This example has a matte green camouflage finish that remains nearly fully intact. You can clearly see that an army decal resides underneath the finish. There is one small knick in the finish where the decal shows through. The original green finish is visible inside the helmet. There is a brown leather, size 54 liner that is very clean. There is minor wear and scuffing only. There is a drawstring and a zinc liner band that is maker marked, dated 1940 and size stamped 62/54. The side of the interior is stamped NS 62 indicating production by Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke of Schwerte in the size of 62. The rear skirt is stamped with the steel lot number D106. There is a brown leather chinstrap that is maker marked. It has steel fittings and has some minor wear. Near excellent overall!
