WWI-era Poster of Italian General Armando Diaz-This interesting poster is of the famous Italian General (later Senator) Armando Diaz, who at the time of this printing was the Commander-In-Chief of the Italian forces. It is a copy of a painting done by William G. Krieghoff in 1918. The lower right of the poster says that this was a “supplement to public ledger Sunday, November 17, 1918”. It is printed onto an off- white paper which has moderate edge wear, some minor tearing to the edges and a significant tear across the seam at the middle fold. Each corner has a small hole from when this was hung. It measures 22” tall by 16” wide (55.9cm x 40.6cm) and is in sound condition!
