This interesting tinnie is produced in leather and is in the form of an upright sword. The blade has the script “Wettkampftage der SA-Gruppe Sachsen” indicating this was for a “Military Tournament Day” for the SA Group in Sachsen. There is an SA symbol at the base, and just above this is a ribbon with script indicating the event was held in Chemnitz from June 30 through July 2, 1939. There is a needle pin glued to the reverse. Also seen on the reverse is an RZM motto and the code for the maker, “M9/148”. The name of the maker is also listed, E.O. Friedrich of Leipzig. Minor wear, but overall excellent!
