WWII German Swabacher Liederkranz (Schwabach Glee Club) Stick Pin- A roughly circular pin, this piece is handsomely made and it’s amazing how crisp the Germans could make tiny writing! The pin is a white disk – but with a navy blue border along each side (not at top, or bottom). Within the blue borders appears the wording “SCHWABACHER LIEDERKRANZ” in tiny gold print. At the pin center is a navy blue diamond, which holds a large “G” clef in gold, flanked by the letter “G” on the left and a “B” on the right (in gold). At the bottom of the white enamel is the date the club was founded : “1841” (I believe). The enamel is very nice and the lettering super! The gilt finished reverse is marked “L. Auer, Nürnberg”. The pre-curved, gilt pin has a knurled center section. Quite an impressive quality pin!
