German Set of Early Pattern Slip-On Shoulder Straps for Army Infantry- These are in the early pattern with a pointed end. Each is piped in white (minor nips and discoloration), indicating Infantry personnel. The boards are produced in field grey wool that has minor discoloration and wear. There is a silver NCO Tresse (Weimar pattern) around the entire perimeter and a single, nickel/silver metal pip on each, indicating these are for a Feldwebel (Sergeant First Class). Also seen are brass (or tombak) “16” ciphers that indicate the wearer was a member of the 16th Infantry Regiment. A good set!
