SA-SS Gorget for Flag Bearer- This is one of the first Nazi era gorgets and was used by both the SA and the SS standard bearers. This has a nickel-plated coronet shaped shield. The roundel, which is found on some SA buckles, is highly detailed with an early party eagle and oak leaf design. This is superimposed over a gilded starburst. There are two round bosses on the obverse that help support the textbook style ringlet chain, which is attached to the gorget. The majority of the blue felt backing is in place, but it is very worn along the edges and there is a hole in the middle below the center prong. It has three prongs, two of which are used to hold on the chain, and the third would clip to the uniform. Overall condition near excellent.
