Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring Hand Signed Note from Nürnberg Trials-This is an important piece of history! It is hand written in pencil by Göring himself. It states:
"Dr. Stahmer
Avidavit Meissner
absolut falsch (Irrtum)
Nicht Frick, ich allein
habe die Einbürgerung
des Führers als
Braunschweiger durchgeführt.
G"
Göring states that he alone accomplished the naturalization of the Führer and not Frick. The note is addressed to Dr. Stahmer, Görings lawyer during the Nuremberg trials. This is very important as Wilhelm Frick and Dieterich Klagges are often given the credit for naturalizing Hitler as a German citizen. I could see where Göring was actually the mastermind behind it. This historic note reinforces that theory.
The note measures 8 1/2" by 6". It is part of a group that we were recently able to acquire which included a number of autographs from a guard at the Nuremburg Trials. The name of the guard was SFC George Wickham (RA 6667428) who served as a Military Police soldier. He stayed in the service and we have his 1951-2 personal calendar/diary which indicates he stayed in the service and in Korea sees considerable action. Excellent condition and an important piece of history!
