This is the two-piece version of this type with a separately attached (soldered) roundel. It is finished in matte nickel/silver which has toned just slightly, the buckle retains fantastic detail with little to no visible wear to the details! The entire field is pebbled. This is the Reichsheer buckle with the Weimar style eagle in the center and “Gott Mit Uns” in a semi-circle above the eagle. This buckle shared time of use with the “new” style Third Reich buckles introduced in 1935. The reverse has the half-moon style catch and the roll bar and prongs are produced in plated steel. An excellent example!
