On the Field of Honor, A History of the Knight’s Cross- By John Angolia. First edition. Bender Book format of 9.25” high of 6.25” wide. OUT OF PRINT! The companion second volume in this two-volume series presents brief biographies, including branch of service and circumstances for award (and photographs) for the winners of the Oak Leaves to the Knight’s Cross. Well illustrated with black and white photographs (though many are small) of these men, along with brief biographies. First edition. The book has the so-called “Pictorial Boards” (meaning the cover design/artwork is part of the boards, themselves, rather than on a separate dust jacket with solid color boards). One slight pressure dimple on the cover board and one small, faint stain on one page, else the book is in excellent condition. Approximately 368 pages.
