Named Model 1940 Army Single Decal "Half Basket" Chicken Wire Camouflage Helmet-This fantastic example has what is referred to as the "half basket" of chicken wire for camouflaging purposes. The original dark green combat finish remains a solid 80% intact. The decal is a fine example, checking in at 90% intact. The interior features a brown leather, size stamped 56 liner that is in great condition with just minor wear and discoloration from use. There is a drawstring and a zinc liner band that is maker marked, dated 1941 and size stamped 64/56. The side of the interior is stamped SE 64 indicating production by Sachsische Emailler in the size of 64. The rear skirt is stamped with the steel lot number of 10029. The name written lightly in the rear of the skirt reads "Uffz. Schwerin". A fantastic example of a desirable helmet!
