German Model 1935 Waffen SS Double Decal Reissue Helmet w/Two Great Features-Read on! This combat helmet has a dark green reissue finish that remains a very solid 90% intact. The runic decal is produced by Pocher and checks in at 70% intact. The party shield is also produced by Pocher and checks in at 70% as well. The interior features a brown leather liner that has minor wear and discoloration from use. It is a size 59, and has a drawstring. The first great feature to be fund is the non-reinforced aluminum liner band which is dated 1931 (!), maker marked and size stamped 66. The side of the interior is stamped SE66, indicating production by Sachsische Emailler of Lauter, in the size of 66. The lot number is obscured by the thick reissued finish. The initials "FV" are seen on the rear skirt. Another fantastic characteristic of this helmet is the dark brown leather chin strap which is embossed with the SS runes. WOW! The hardware is aluminum. A very interesting example!
