This example is produced in a Luftwaffe blue-grey trikot wool exterior with some minor discoloration throughout and three nips (the largest the size of a worn eraser and I have photographed this). The top panel is very slightly oval with a subtle peak – a very nice visual appearance! The yellow piping for Flight/Paratrooper personnel is excellent with just minor discoloration; the ribbed mohair black cap band checks out just fine! The metal insignia is silver finished aluminum alloy, there is slight discoloration to these but they still show great detail. Interestingly, the swastika is canted slightly forward ahead of the adler. The Other Ranks chinstrap is relatively matte with no real gloss remaining, and the Vulkanfiber visor has moderate crazing and fading, though both are otherwise in fine shape. The cap interior is near excellent with only slight discoloration from use. It has the standard green visor underside and tan sweatband. The top lining is a tangerine colored chintz oilcloth fabric, which is excellent. The rhomboid shaped clear moisture shield is manufacturer marked “Lieferant (supplier) Albert Kempf Ronsdorf”. Also stamped into the moisture shield is the size (56) and the year of production (1939). A sound plus example of an Other Ranks Flight/Paratrooper visor!
