This great coat is produced in blue grey wool that has minor discoloration, wear, and tracking. There is a three-button closure, hip pockets, and French cuffs. It is double breasted. The collar tabs have been reapplied. They are produced in dark green badge cloth with machine embroidered silvery-grey pips (four) and oak leaf. Each is piped in a silver rope twist with alternating green cloth. The slip on shoulder boards have a dark green badge cloth underlay, a secondary underlay of pink, blue cloth braid with alternating silver flat wire, and a pair of grey metal pips. This individual was an Administrative Official with the Rank of Oberst and was affiliated with one of eight different services within the Administration. The interior is partially lined with grey cloth and the sleeves are lined in a darker grey cloth. Interestingly, there is a section of material cut out from the liner and in the area of the pocket. The pocket itself is ink stamped L.B.A. (S) 38. It is a size 42. Good condition and interesting insignia!
