Large Size German Tinnie for Athletic Competition Held in Innsbruck, 1930-This handsome tinnie is produced in brass with a natural finish. There is minor discoloration in a few areas. The details of this large (65mm at its largest diameter!) are spectacular! A central, stylized eagle is on a shield within a ring which has a pair of oak leave sprigs and a sonnenrad swastika. Script on the swastika reads “Deutscher Turnerbund” (German Gymnastic Club). The script on the perimeter ring reads “3. Bundesturnfest 1930 Innsbruck” or 3rd Annual National Gymnastic Competition, held in Innsbruck in 1930. The reverse features a large, vertically mounted needle pin with a base that is maker marked. Excellent and very handsome!
