This example is produced in the “Splinter” pattern with an emphasis on green colors. There are browns and the backing is tan. This is in near excellent condition throughout, showing minor discoloration and wear from use. Being the third and final pattern used, it has zippered pockets on either side of the collar and at the waist. All zippers function perfectly and are produced in metal. The metal pulls are marked “D.R.P. Ri Ri” and there are additional green leather pulls. All of the buttons work properly as well. The female halves of the buttons are marked “PRYM”. The armpits have slits for ventilation purposes. There is a five-button closure, with blue/grey Bakelite buttons being used. The cuffs are adjustable with metal snaps. The right rear of the smock has the built-in flare pistol “holster”. This has small brown Bakelite buttons, one of which is slightly damaged. There is a small pocket just below this (for a magazine). The machine embroidered breast eagle has been beautifully machine stitched to the smock. It is off white over green, which is very attractive and desirable. The unlined interior and has a built-in HBT waist belt. There is minor discoloration to the interior. The left side is well-marked with size information, an L.B.A. stamp and a RBNr. It is a size IIa. The smock is dated 44. Excellent and desirable!
