Handsome Army Motorized Transport Officer Model 1936 Tunic-This excellent example is produced in soft, field grey wool that is as clean as a whistle and completely damage free. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a six button closure and all buttons are field grey finished pebbled metal. There are french cuffs and a dark green badge cloth collar. Hand applied to the collar are officer type tabs which have silver bullion columns and light blue cloth stripes over dark green badge cloth. The sew in shoulder boards have a matte grey flat wire face with light blue badge cloth underlay that doubles as the piping. There is a number "7" gilt cipher on each shoulder board. The insignia indicates the wearer was a leutnant (2nd lieutenant) assigned to a motorized transport company. The officer breast eagle is silver flat wire and silver bullion on a dark green wool. It has been properly hand applied. There is a ribbon in the second button loop for the War Merit Cross as well as loops for a single badge on the left breast pocket. The interior is fully lined in black rayon that remains very clean. There is a single pocket on the left side. There is a strap with a plated metal clip and a slot for an edged weapon. The tunic is a size medium. If you like them "as new" this is the one for you! It's a beauty!
