Very nice, shield-shaped piece (vertical height about 1.75”) made from a porous, very white ceramic material. There is a gold border just inside the edge of the shield, and within this gilt border are the raised letters that provide the inscription “Gau Gathering of the Bavarian Eastern Mark 1936”. The imagery at the center shows a Nuremberg-esque Style National Eagle with the curve of the body above the wreath giving almost the impression of a circle. The bisque-like ceramic is in good condition, still quite white. The tinnie once had a pin, but this is now gone. A very fine example notwithstanding.
