This is produced in blue/grey wool that is in wonderful condition. The underside of the flaps is lined in white fleece that has very minor discoloration but is otherwise excellent. The ear flaps have cloth ties to hold them up when not in use; when down these tie serve as a chinstrap. The front flap has a silver finished Luftwaffe eagle that is in great condition and is properly attached with white cloth thread wrapped around the wings and torso. The padded interior is finished in grey cloth. There is minor discoloration and a very small tear in the lining. There is a manufacturer’s tag stitched to the lining, which indicates this was produced by GA Hoffmann of Berlin in 1942 in the size of 57. Also included is a small picture of a soldier wearing one of these caps. Excellent overall condition!
