Army WWI Model 1916 German Camouflage Helmet Issued to a Machine Gun Unit-This is a rare and unique helmet! It features a really cool camouflage pattern, with the typically blocky shapes along with a circle around one of the vent lugs. The colors are brown (light and dark), tan and green. The finish remains 90% intact overall. The left side has a unit designation which is hand painted and indicates this was for a machine gun unit. Inside, it retains the original three pad liner and steel liner band. The liner pads are off white leather. All three are present and have the original cushions. The side of the interior is stamped B.F. 64 indicating production by F.C. Bellinger of Fulda in the size of 64. The original brown leather chinstrap is present with the brass rings. Super desirable and in great condition!
