Army Riding Breeches for Named to Knights Cross Recipient

Fantastic set of finely tailored wehrmacht officer’s riding breeches of the highest quality materials named to Hauptmann Karl Koppenwallner, a recipient of the German Cross and the Knights Cross. Koppenwallner was born in 1905 and died in Regensburg in 1988. He was awarded the Knights Cross on January 1, 1944 as an Oberst and commander of Gren-Rgt.97 on 1.1.44. An extremely fine quality pair of breeches made by Heidenreich & Söhne, München. Even the buttons are tailor marked. They are produced in a super soft, gray wool that is excellent. The lower legs have functioning zipper closures. There are buttoned hip pockets and a watch pocket. There is no rear pocket. There are cinch straps at the hips with blued metal buckles. The fly has a four-button closure with an additional hook and loop fastener at the waist. All of the straps and buttons for the suspenders are in place. The pocket bags are produced in gray cloth. The tailor’s label, seen on the waistband, is named to Hauptmann Koppenwallner along with the date 25.9.40. They measure 41” long with a size 32“ waist. Excellent + condition!
