WWII German Luftwaffe Hermann Göring Division Artillery NCO Four Pocket Service Tunic-This great piece is produced in blue grey wool that is very clean. There are a few moth holes and some tracking (see pics). The holes are mostly confined to the lower area of the front but a very close examination shows minor tracking and a few small holes in areas throughout the blouse. There is a five-button closure. All buttons are silver finished pebbled aluminum. The front and lower edge of the collar is piped in white cotton rope twist. It is also lined in NCO silver tresse. The collar tabs and tresse are neatly machine applied. The tabs are white badge cloth with red piping and two gulls are seen on each. The sew in shoulder boards are produced in blue grey wool. There is white cloth piping. The NCO tresse is seen around the entire perimeter. These were originally applied to the blouse and when the soldier received a promotion from unteroffizier to unterfeldwebel they simply added a small section of tresse to the boards. The machine embroidered breast eagle is originally applied by hand. It is silvery grey over blue. The right sleeve has a machine embroidered Hermann Göring cuff title which is period time applied by hand. The interior is fully lined in blue cotton. There is very minor wear and discoloration only. There is a pocket on the left side and a bandage pocket on the lower right. There are straps for the belt hooks. There are ink stamps indicating size info. It is also stamped “LBA 39”. The tunic is a size large. Very good condition overall!
