WWII Japanese Army Combat Helmet w/Cover and Net, DIRECT VETERAN FAMILY PURCHASE-This fantastic piece has never before been in a collection! It has been together forever and is a top shelf piece in every way. The cover and net are light tan with some discoloration and a few very minor stains. I do not dare move the cover to look at the finish to the shell but what is visible around the lower skirt appears to have a majority if the finish present. The cover has the machine woven yellow star affixed to the front. The interior features a three pad leather liner, leather liner band and tan chinstrap which are all present and accounted for. They show some discoloration and wear from use, with the leather items being a bit stiff. They are a little loose in the shell but are fully intact except for one small section of the chinstrap which is missing. There are stitched black cloth characters on two of the liner pads (see pics). There is hand painted, faint kanji at the rear lower skirt. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a fine piece!
