WWII German Luftwaffe Model 1938 Paratrooper Single Decal Helmet-This great example has a field grey, combat finish that is nearly fully intact, checking in at 90%. It has a wonderful look to it. The decal, seen on the wearers left side, checks in at a solid 85%. Look inside and you will see that the size stamped 56 liner remains clean. It is soft and supple. There is a tear that runs from the seam in the middle and back through three of the holes. Above the tear is a stain and I will let you figure out what it is. The bottom of the liner has some minor scuffing. It is tight inside the shell. The pads and aluminum liner band are fully intact and in great condition. It has four of the standard type spanner bolts. The liner was produced by Heisler. The harness is the lighter gray version seen on later helmets (it is the original unquestionably). There is some visible wear but it remains fully intact and sound. The side of the interior is stamped ET 68 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke in the size of 68 (they made all of the paratrooper helmets). The rear skirt is stamped with the steel lot number 446 indicating production in 1941. A very good example and priced right!
