WWII German Army Double Decal Fiber Officer’s Parade Helmet-Excellent and named, this parade fiber helmet retains 98% of its feldgrau finish. The decals are excellent too, checking in at 99% each! The interior is literally mint, with little to no wear or discoloration to the brown leather, size stamped 58 liner. There is a drawstring. The liner is stamped with the nomenclature of the maker, eReL, in silver. The owner wrote his name in the rear of the skirt in black ink. This reads “Hptm. Lorenzen Schleswig.” Captain Bernhard Lorenzen won the Ritterkreuz on 3 April 1943 while serving as the Commander of 1st Company Genadier Regiment 121. The fibre shell has shrunk a bit due to age. This caused the metal trim around the edge of the skirt to loosen so we were able to trim it slightly and refit it. It isn't perfect but much it's better than what it was. There are slight ripples in the shell where it has shrunk. There is a black leather chinstrap with a green finished metal roller buckle that is excellent. A fantastic piece, worthy of additional research!
