WWII German Municipal Police Bayonet by Paul Weyersberg-Fine matching numbers piece, heavily engraved nickel silver hilt. The grip plates are stag and the detailed aluminum police eagle is tightly set in place on the handle. The reverse of the crossguard and the top fitting on the scabbard are deeply stamped S.W.II.153. This indicates that it was issued to the Schutzpolizei Weisbaden duty location II weapon number 153. The black leather scabbard with nickel silver fittings is excellent. The same goes for the blade. This is a classic example of the updated version from the Weimar period. It is complete with a 1943 dated and maker marked black leather frog. Top shelf example.
