U-091  Gabardine Political Leader Service Shirt / Breeches and Rare Belt and Buckle for a Gau Level Chief Judge (‘Chamber President’ - Kammervorsitzender) of a Gau Gericht (District)
An incredibly impressive set! The tan cotton waist blouse is in excellent condition and complete with all the correct insignia and even includes a tan cloth button-in collar liner! The shirt is about a  size 38 – with a slim waist - and includes the three matte aluminum political leader’s buttons on the front closure, two pocket buttons on the scallop flapped breast pockets, and one button at each turned back sleeve cuff. The small bakelite top and bottom closure buttons are also present. Only one button on the inside of the neck (of three used to secure a collar liner), is missing. The collar itself is piped in bright red cord, as is each of the third pattern collar tabs for a Chief Judge of a Gau Gericht, that are mounted on the collar. Each tab has two beautiful aluminum wire columns hand embroidered on a rich dark blue (looks practically black) felt base. Centered on the tabs atop the columns is a single, small size, metal Political Leader pip (with eagle) with a silver finish. Attached to the inner side of the collar is a tan cotton collar liner. There is a nice, lightweight cotton party armband secured (along its top edge) to the left sleeve. It’s in outstanding condition – clean and crisp (intensely red!), with a separately-applied white disk and a multi-piece, ribbed rayon swastika. The left breast has three loops above the pocket for a ribbon bar, with two sets of loops on the pocket for medals or badges. The shirt interior is unlined. There is a lightly frayed and slightly faded RZM tag sewn to the interior just below the collar, at the rear. It notes “Diensthemd für Politische Leiter”.  The bottom outside edge of the shirt has four large belt loops for a belt. There are also several (slightly elastic) slotted cloth tabs that extend down vertically from the shirt edge, which secure buttons positioned on the waistband of the breeches. The wide Political Leader’s belt is a really superb example in matte red leather – perfectly supple and quite clean with little sign of any wear. The very rare round, matte aluminum Political Leader’s buckle has some light soiling, but has really crisp detail. The reverse is RZM marked with the maker code M1 /27. The breeches are exactly the right type for this service shirt, and include all the bakelite buttons on the waistband for attaching the shirt tabs to (these would be covered by the belt, to some degree). The breeches are a nearly perfect color match with the shirt. They have an approximate 30” waist and are long enough to fit someone about 5’7”, perhaps 5’8”, comfortably. These are outfitted with forward canted slash pockets, with scalloped flaps and the matte aluminum Political Leader buttons. The breeches show some light soiling and around the calves, the fabric shows some abrasion fuzzing, which would have been caused by friction from  the boots. The calf/ankle shaft slits are secured with thin brown tie strings (eyelet holes for the top section), with three buttons at the bottoms (one is broken with only half remaining). The inner waistband lining is ink stamped “48” The waistline is cut in a “V” at the rear. An incredible set indeed, and a unique opportunity!
