S-078b Tail Rudder of German WWII Aircraft
I was
told this was from an Arado 96 Trainer. This came out of an
estate of a Veteran and I sure do wish he was still around, because I am positive this
acquisition
would have had a neat story! It measures approximately 39” from top to bottom
and is about 16.75” long. You can see the interior, as this has both sides. The
width of the interior is about 4”. It is made of aluminum and has ripples and
dents, as you can see in the pictures. The paint on one side is a tropical type
yellow and is about 30% intact. The paint on the other side is a middle tone of
green, and is about 50% present. The data plate is visible on the interior strut,
and it has the following information:
