M-014a Scarce Award Case for German Cross in
Silver by Deschler
This is a seldom encountered box for German Cross in Silver. It
displays some moderate scuffing and one missing section to the black leatherette
exterior. This is on the lower section. Being a Deschler-produced case, it
has a silver line around the perimeter of the upper exterior. The upper lid of
the interior is lined with an off-white rayon, which has a minor amount of
discoloration and a pair of marks (looks like pen?), but is otherwise sound. The
lower, compartmented section is lined with a black flocking which shows a small
amount of wear but, like the upper section, is quite acceptable. Beneath the
compartmented section the interior is lined with a pebbled black leatherette
identical to what is used for the exterior, another characteristic exclusive to
the Deschler produced cases. A sound plus example of a scarce item!
