B-126 Navy Enlisted Man's Painted Steel Buckle
This is a pressed steel example with a very dark blue finish that
remains approximately 80% intact. The field is smooth, and the highlights show
some moderate wear but remain sound. The reverse features a round bar with flat
feet welded to the buckle for a belt catch. It is stamped “B&N” for the
manufacturer, “Berg & Nolte”, as well as ’43 for the date of
production. The roll bar is plated steel. A sound plus example!
