WWII German Luftwaffe Visor Cap for Other Ranks Signals Personnel-This is an early, private purchase example that is in excellent condition. It is produced in blue grey wool that is super clean. The brown signals piping is in fine condition. The insignia consists of an early droop tail Luftwaffe eagle and a one-piece wreath and cockade with minor discoloration. The chinstrap is black patent leather and excellent. The visor is black vulkanfibre with extremely minor fading only. The underside is crosshatched and finished in a green hue. The interior is fully lined in orange brown cloth. There is a rhomboid shaped moisture shield with maker nomenclature that reads Max Berger Mützenfabrik of Görlitz. The lining is ink stamped with the size, 55 and the date, 1937. The sweatband is tan leather. It is very soft and supple with a small tear as it is very fragile. The underside is boldly ink stamped with the following unit info: Flg. Horst. Kdtr. Schwerin. Excellent overall and desirable!
