German WWII Red Cross Hewer-This is a choice example of the always popular DRK Hewer. The nickel-plated fittings have an even patina and have a pewter look to them. The Red Cross eagle emblem is excellent. Both grip plates are in excellent condition. The leather buffer is still in place under the crossguard. The scabbard retains 90% of its original black enameled paint with a few minor scuffs. The blade is not just mint, its choice mint! It is highly polished, and you can still see the factory cross graining. This blade is unmarked, as are most, but excellent.
