German WWII Engraved Dress Bayonet by Paul Seilheimer-Near excellent example of this long model bayonet. It shows a single-sided engraved blade. The plated hilt fittings show minor wear to the highlights and there are a few spots of finish loss. The black checkered grip plates are excellent. The scabbard was repainted at some point and rates 80% or better. The single engraved blade is near excellent with the standard motto “in memory of my service time” flanked by oak leaves. One side shows an army eagle with outstretched wings and at the other end is a helmet with decal. This has the logo for the company on the reverse of the blade. This comes with a standard brown leather frog that you would usually see on a combat bayonet so let’s say it’s a replacement and a freebee. Overall, very good condition.
